Vila Vita Biergarten is once again hosting its famous Oktoberfest, bringing the spirit of southern Germany to the Algarve

A regular event for over 10 years, the annual festival has become a staple event in the Algarve, marking the end of the summer season. This year’s festivities will take place from September 25 to October 6 at the Vila Vita Biergarten in Porches, as usual.
Coinciding with the traditional Bavarian Oktoberfest in Germany, the Algarve edition offers a taste of Germany with a selection of mouth-watering traditional dishes. Festival-goers can enjoy freshly baked bretzels, a variety of iconic sausages, schnitzels, sweet Apfelstrudels, as well as vegetarian options, for a true German experience right here in the Algarve.
The Biergarten (or ‘beer garden’) will be set up with long communal tables, encouraging friends and families to gather together. Staff will be dressed in traditional Bavarian outfits, and visitors can enjoy the different selections of beers, including event-partner Erdinger, one of Germany’s most famous breweries.
As for entertainment, the festival will feature live music in the afternoon by the Al-Fanfare Balkan Brass Band, which will perform at 5pm and on Sundays at 1pm, and to round off the evenings, the traditional German band Münchner Gaudiblosn will take the stage, travelling from Bavaria to bring the authentic Oktoberfest experience to the Algarve.
