Ahlamu Zahar Concert, Al-Mutamid Music Festival
On March 15, Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório in Silves will host the Ahlamu Zahar Concert as part of the 25th edition of the annual Al-Mutamid Music Festival.
Starting at 9.30pm, the musical project Ahlamu Zahar will take the audience on a mesmerising sound journey to the flourishing cultural and artistic era of Al-Andalus, between 711 and 1492.
The group will be comprised by Husam Hamumi (vocals, kanún, saz and nay), Nerea Mafarki (vocals), Victor Muñiz (guitar and Arabic lute) and Mohamed Abbadi (percussions), presenting some of the most beautiful melodies from that period.

Budda Guedes, Mário Laginha and Frankie Chavez
Portimão’s TEMPO Theatre will host a Blues concert featuring renowned Portuguese musicians, who will come together to perform their vision of the Blues, this March 15 at 9pm.

Showcasing original songs written by the three musicians, the concert will be both a celebration of Blues music and an exploration of the genre. Originating in North America, the Blues’ sounds have taken the world by storm since the 1960s, thanks to names such as the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton and the Beatles.

Caminus Duo, “Sons Ao Crepúsculo”
On March 28, at 7pm, the next Sounds at Twilight concert will feature the acclaimed duo Mikhail Shumov (cello) and Joana Vieira Shumova (piano). This special evening will be dedicated to the exceptional repertoire of the Romantic period, between 1798 and 1837, with works by G. Fauré, M. Ravel, A. Dvorak and E. Grieg. Grieg, for a night of “glamour, virtuosity, drama and beauty”.
