The Carvoeiro Clube Group has recently expanded its hospitality portfolio by taking over the management of the Bricia du Mar Hotel in Ferragudo, which opened in April 2022.
This acquisition further solidifies the Group’s position as a leader in luxury hospitality management in the central Algarve region. It is the Group’s second hotel, joining the Vivenda Miranda Boutique Hotel in Lagos.
Since its establishment in 1982, the Group has become a cornerstone of tourism in the central Algarve, generating an annual turnover of approximately €16 million. It now plans to invest over €100 million in the Algarve region over the next five years.
As shared by the Group in a statement to the press, Bricia du Mar Hotel combines Mediterranean flair with modern conveniences, boasting a prime location near Ferragudo, a charming fishing village, and it is close to some of the Algarve’s most stunning beaches, including Praia do Molhe, Pintadinho, Caneiros, and Ferragudo’s Praia Grande.
The hotel boasts 56 rooms — 44 studios with a kitchenette and 12 standard rooms — as well as a restaurant, an events area, a spa, a 300sqm gym, as well as two bars — Pool Bar, a seasonal poolside bar open only to guests serving everything from snacks to cocktails, and Terrace Du Bar, a rooftop bar serving wine and tapas and hosting live entertainment and sunset events.
Last September, the Group also assumed management of the Ocean View Residences, an exclusive resort in Carvoeiro near the Algar Seco area. The resort features six one-bedroom and 16 two-bedroom apartments designated for long-term rentals.
Andreas Stocker, owner of Carvoeiro Clube Group, stated in a press release: “Our plan, together with our investment partners, is to invest over €100 million in this region (Carvoeiro-Lagoa) over the next five years. Throughout all our activities, our focus will be on innovation, sustainability and job creation whilst preserving and celebrating this region’s beautiful heritage.”
Carvoeiro Clube Group, led by Andreas Stocker (Owner), Patricia Buerer (CEO), and Paulo de Carvalho (COO), operates with a team of 200 employees. The Group has established a reputation for quality and reliability, managing over 500 accommodations across 10 resorts, two hotels, four beach studios in Carvoeiro, and a guesthouse in Lagoa.
