The event brings over 270 activities to Sagres, from birdwatching, to whale and marine life watching, group surfing, art workshops and more
– October 3, 2024
The yearly Sagres Birdwatching Festival returns once again to Sagres, bringing an array of activities for everyone to enjoy.
The event is described as the biggest nature and birdwatching event in Portugal and will return for its 15th edition, between October 3 (Thursday) and October 6 (Sunday).
Although some of the more than 270 planned activities are already fully booked, organisers say that there is “still a lot to choose from”.
The full programme can be found on the event’s website and includes everything from birdwatching activities and boat trips to see dolphins and explore caves, to photography, painting and drawing workshops, bicycle rides and much more.
A visit to Sagres’ Beliche fort is all that is needed to sign up and receive a participant bracelet, which also provides free admission to Sagres’ fortress and Vila do Bispo’s museum.
