TEDxPraça Gil Eanes set for this May

The Algarve region will host its first-ever TEDx conference this May. Under the theme “Co-Creating a Limitless Future”, the event promises to deliver an “unforgettable TEDx experience”, uniting some of the most inspiring Portuguese and international voices who will share transformative ideas aligned with the theme.
Attendees can expect an inspiring lineup of speakers covering a wide range of topics, including sustainability, technology, culture, business, and more – each offering thought-provoking ideas designed to challenge perspectives, spark creativity, and inspire positive action.
“We are at a turning point. The Algarve is brimming with talent, innovation, and vision. This event is about sparking real change and inspiring people to build something greater, together,” the organisers said.
The event promises “a full day of bold ideas, transformative conversations, and immersive experiences”.
TEDxPraça Gil Eanes will take place at the Centro Cultural de Lagos on Monday, May 12. Talks will be delivered in both English and Portuguese, with live translation available (participants are required to bring their own headphones). Although filming is not allowed during the event, all talks will be made available later on TEDx’s YouTube channel. Complimentary coffee and food will be offered throughout the day.
The TEDx event will be divided into four main themes, each exploring a different facet of “Co-Creating a Limitless Future”:
- Limitless Environment – Sustainability, biodiversity, and the spaces around us
- Limitless Self – Personal growth, inner transformation, and human potential
- Limitless Future – Innovation, entrepreneurship, AI, and society’s next evolution
- Limitless Together – The power of collaboration and community-driven change
TEDx events are independently organised conferences that follow the format and principles of TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) but are curated locally. This event is being coordinated by the Municipal Council of Lagos in partnership with LOFT, W4M Digital Solutions, and SheSapiens Algarve.
The conference will run from 9.30am to 5pm, with tickets available for €55.

Doors will open at 8am, for registration and to connect with attendees, until 9.30am.
Between 9.45am and 10am the TEDxPraça Gil Eanes Team will welcome participants and make an introduction to the day ahead.
