One of the great things about Cadela Carlota (CC) is the incredible creativity and dedication of its volunteers. Many bring their unique skills and interests to devise innovative ways to raise funds, ensuring the organization can continue its vital work.
This year, an exciting new initiative is set to launch: a boot camp-style workout on Meia Praia Beach, Lagos, promising to combine fitness, fun, and a shared love of animals.
Boot Camp on Meia Praia
Scheduled for Saturday, January 25, the event will take place on the eastern stretch of Meia Praia, near the iconic beach bar. Running from 2pm to 4pm. Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or just looking to try something new, this event promises an invigorating workout with breathtaking views.
Why a Boot Camp?
Fleur, a dedicated CC volunteer and fitness enthusiast, explains the idea behind the boot camp: “We wanted to create an event that encourages health and wellness while bringing the community together for a great cause. It’s all about making fitness accessible and fun, all while supporting CC’s mission to help animals in need.”
More than just a workout
Participants can look forward to more than exercise. After the boot camp, delicious refreshments will be available from Everyday People, a local favorite known for their fresh and flavorful dishes. It’s the perfect way to refuel and connect with others who share a passion for making a difference.
Additionally, some of CC’s shelter dogs will be at the event for participants to meet. This is a wonderful opportunity to interact with the animals directly and see the impact of CC’s work firsthand.
How to join
Tickets are priced at €18, with an early bird discount available for those who register by January 15. Spaces are limited, so act fast to secure your spot! For more information or to reserve your place, contact CC via email or phone Fleur on +31 6 21 4664 71.
Get involved, make a difference
This boot camp event is just one example of how CC’s volunteers continuously find innovative ways to raise funds and awareness. By joining in, you’ll not only enjoy a unique fitness experience but also contribute to the ongoing care and support of animals in need. Together, we can make a lasting impact – one step, squat, and stretch at a time!
