– June 6, 2024
The Lagoa Wine Show is back with four nights of the “best Portuguese wines”, alongside performances by well-known Portuguese artists, and a wide range of gastronomic options.
Between June 7 (Friday) and June 10 (Monday), taking advantage of Portugal’s national Holiday on Monday, the event will bring food and wine to the heart of the Algarve region and delight the palate with a wide variety of options, such as wine tastings, gastronomic showcases and local producers’ stalls, as well as daily cooking demonstrations by renowned chefs.
Lagoa’s Coronel Figueiredo Street will be the centre of the event, with performances by Cuca Roseta, Bonga, Virgem Suta, Azeitonas and the “unmistakable voices” of Luana Velasquez, Teresinha Landeiro and Cremilde Medina, as well as Anabel Veloso’s Flamenco and “Fado à Janela” performances, which feature Fado singers performing from balconies and windows along the main street.
The Lagoa Wine Show is “one of the most emblematic wine shows in the south of the country”, bringing together some of the most renowned producers from Portugal’s various wine regions, including the Algarve.
As the Algarve’s reputation as a strong wine-producing region grows, it has received various distinctions in national and international wine competitions.
The event will be free to attend, taking place between 7pm to midnight.
