Silves Sunset Secrets - Thursdays at the Castle “Quintas do Castelo”

The yearly summer event Sunset Secrets – Thursdays at the Castle (“Quintas do Castelo”) brings together fun for everyone and great views over the city of Silves.

With a capacity of 600 people, there is a lot of room for the perfect end of the evening. The event provides the perfect chance to unwind and relax at “one of the Silves and the Algarve’s top landmarks”, with massages, musical performances, and dances, along with local cuisine, such as Silves Orange and local wine, and an unmissable fire show at the end of every night.

July 18 – Orchestra Garvefole

Under the direction of international award-winning composer Professor Nelson Conceição, Orchestra Garvefole is comprised of several award-winning young accordion players from various parts of the Algarve and complemented by a guitarist, a bassist and a percussionist.

The group has been achieving a lot of notoriety nationally and abroad and will present a very eclectic repertoire, covering genres from fado, chorinho, and tango, to immortal classics, as well as works by Algarve authors.

July 25 – Luís Capitão and Leonardo Pisco

Luís Capitão and Leonardo Pisco will present their debut album in a show that “promises a journey through the sound of Portuguese guitar”. Covering classic fado guitar music as well as original songs, the group promises to excite the audience and get their feet tapping on a journey through the various influences they have picked up in different corners of the world.

August 1 – The Protons

With their unique complicity and contagious energy, The Protons are sure to bring a smile to everyone’s face, playing timeless songs for all tastes, from funk, rock, pop, soul, reggae or jazz.

The events take place every Thursday starting at 6.30pm and until 11pm. Doors open at 6.30pm and tickets can be purchased on BOL’s website, with prices of €5 for the general public.

Tickets for residents of the municipality of Silves are €2, which must be purchased on-site, upon presentation of proof of residence.

Children up to 12 and including can enter for free.
