The Algarve waterpark took the top spot in the “Theme Park” category at the World Luxury Travel Awards

The famous Zoomarine waterpark located in Albufeira received the distinction of ‘Best Theme Park in the World 2024’ by the World Luxury Travel Awards.
Reflecting its “commitment to providing unforgettable fun experiences” where entertainment and education are combined, Zoomarine also helps to raise awareness about the protection of the oceans and marine species.
Tiago Pierotti, Zoomarine’s Executive Director, received the award on behalf of the entire team who “worked hard to create happy memories, combined with teachings on the conservation of the ocean and marine species” since the park’s foundation. “This award is an incentive for us to continue this mission with the thousands of visitors who come to Zoomarine every year, and it reflects the trust and affection they place in us,” he added.
The World Luxury Travel Awards recognise and distinguish “excellence in tourism” by promoting the nominated and winning destinations and entities, and highlighting the best travel experiences worldwide. Winners are selected based on votes from industry professionals and consumers, ensuring that the choices reflect the opinions of those who experience travel first-hand.
Created in 2020, the World Luxury Travel Awards became “one of the most coveted awards in the travel industry”, receiving more than 100,000 votes every year from travellers from all around the world.
