Summer thrills: Exciting new ride at the famous Algarve theme park in Guia

Algarve theme park Zoomarine has inaugurated a new ride inspired by Iguazu Falls, a series of waterfalls along the Iguazu River on the Brazilian Argentine border.
The new attraction, which “promises to be the highlight of the summer in the Algarve”, says the theme park, offers visitors “a unique and exciting experience with canoes designed in the shape of logs”. The park adds: “Adventurers are invited to embark on a 343-metre journey, combining the adrenaline of as-cents and descents with the sensation of the final splash.”
The ride features three major drops of five, six and 11 metres in height, designed to “ensure that each descent is more exciting than the previous one”.
This project is part of the park’s aquatic area expansion plan, with the overarching goal being to “continue to innovate and surprise its visitors with world-class attractions, remaining at the forefront of themed entertainment in Portugal”.
Zoomarine also operates other water-based rides and attractions until September 30, including the Rio dos Côcos (Coconut River), Quetzal, and the Fantasy and Treasure Islands.
Tickets during the high season cost €33.50 for adults and €24.50 for children and the elderly and can be purchased at a discount on the theme park’s website.
The tickets provide access to all activities, including all shows, 4D cinema, aquarium, rides, and aquatic attractions.
